SparklyUnicorn
but thankfully came back on after a few minutes. I had just put the turkey in the oven. Most of the sides were prepped to be cooked. That would not have been funny.
Jean in Newcastle
I'm so glad that it came back on! I hate to tell you this but sometimes when that happens whatever conditions caused it to go out in the first place can have it happen for longer later in the day. I remember some Thanksgiving storms when we had to eat leftovers from the fridge by candlelight.

I remember some Thanksgiving storms when we had to eat leftovers from the fridge by candlelight. Crazy thing is we aren't currently having any storm. No clue what happened. I can use the stove top. Except for perhaps cutting the turkey up though I wouldn't really be able to cook that. I have a ham in the fridge so I'd probably slice that up and heat it on the stove top. We wouldn't go hungry for sure, but ugh, that would be lousy.
Jean in Newcastle
I hope it's a "Whew! I was so afraid the power would go out for good but am so glad that it didn't. Please have more pie." day for you.

Arcadia
We had no power for an hour on Tuesday late afternoon (slightly before sunset). We ended up going to the library for electricity and wifi. I have a gas stove but would need a cooking lighter since the gas ignite spark is electric. Kids want to go to the chinese supermarket. We better top up on rations that don't need cooking just in case.
