mom31257
I'd love to plan a couple of group games for our co-op's end of semester party tomorrow. We have close to 60 kids from preschool to high school ages. I'd love to make these Christmas/winter themed if possible. Thanks if you have any ideas to share! 6packofun
So, games that a 4 year old can play with teens--and that teens will want to play with younger kids?

We could also do younger and older separate?
6packofun
Telephone or reverse charades is always fun with older ones. For the younger ones that can READ, set up chairs like musical chairs with one less than there are people. An adult or other person not playing starts reading from Seuss' How the Grinch Stole Christmas while the others walk around the chairs and every time the word "Christmas" is read, everyone has to grab a seat. The person who is out next switches with the narrator and one chair is removed. The word Christmas is used 15x in the story, I think, so it can be played with a lot of people. We LOVE variations on musical chairs! LOL (Here are some: http://www.disbelieving.com/planparty/games/gamesm.html ) We love this game at Christmas. Take a small gift and put inside a box, wrap in wrapping paper or newspaper, etc. and then put in another box. Wrap that box and continue wrapping/putting inside boxes until you have a HUGE blob of a present--feel free to use a LITTLE duct tape along with other kinds of tape but not a lot and other odd wrappings like a pillowcase and bubble wrap, whatever you can think of. Overdo it. LOL Have everyone sit in a circle and decide how to choose the first unwrapper. This person must wear a pair of MITTENS or GLOVES. As soon as they start unwrapping, pass a box lid or something like that with 2 dice in it. Everyone rolls once to try to get DOUBLES and then passes it to the next person. The dice go around until doubles are thrown and then THAT person gets to jump in and take over the unwrapping. You can see that the object must be wrapped over and over so that lots of people get a chance. Obviously, the one who finally opens it gets the prize.
6packofun
Telestrations is good for about age 8 and up. For the youngest of the kiddos, we've done a LARGE game of Hullaballoo with pads from TWO sets so that more kids can play.
MercyA
Bingo! You can make free bingo cards here using any pictures (or words) you'd like. If you use pictures, all ages can play. You can find free Christmas and winter clip art to use on the cards here and here. Have some little prizes on hand (pencils, candy, stickers, bouncy balls, bracelets, etc.) and everyone will enjoy it. :)
