Woodhaven
We have recently moved to a new area and were invited by another family who home schools to come over this afternoon and swim at their home. We have met them at least once at some event we both attended. Should we bring some kind of refreshment or gift? They probably don't want food at the pool, and we are not going to stay more than 1 - 1 1/2 hours. Your thoughts?
mathmarm
Maybe a light snack to be enjoyed by everyone after the swim?
Okra
It would probably be nice. Just something quick and easy. Crackers and Cheese? Grapes or some other fruit?
Jan in SC
I can't imagine a group of kids that don't want food at the pool. You could even take something simple -like Popsicles.
AnnE-girl
I would bring something that they could choose to serve, or just be for them to enjoy. Brownies, a box of candy, etc.
Annie G
Even a package of Lofthouse cookies would be nice. There's only like ten of them, they're iced in pretty colors, and if they don't want to serve them, they can save them for their family dessert. It's an easy treat that the kids can eat while you and the mom are exchanging 'thank yous' and 'I'm glad you came' sentiments. So yeah, brownies, cookies, popsicles, something small.
