rdj2027
My son is taking classes in glassblowing and other techniques; it is all hand-on instruction. He will accumulate about 75-80 hours in the studio. To make it creditable, does he need to cover theory (reading books, writing about it,...) or is the time spent in the studio with instruction sufficient to award (a half) credit? Corraleno
IME, studio art classes do not normally include theory or writing assignments; the "output" is the artwork. I took 3 years of art in high school, and it was all hands-on — no theory, no papers, just making stuff (drawing, painting, print-making, pottery, jewelry, sculpture, etc). G5052
My daughter is taking studio art online this year. Indeed, nothing to read or write. It's all about drawing every day and doing the projects.
rdj2027
Thanks everyone! Fine Art is one of the credits we both struggle the most with. Relieved to hear that this will be enough for a half credit.
Luckymama
And what a cool credit it is!
