lots-o-rice
Ok, so we are finishing Glenoce Algebra 2 right now and I am finding it W.A.Y. more than I want to teach. I have to go check youtube constantly. I feel like I have learned far more than he has. My ds isn't math-y. He actually despises it. I am looking for another way to teach precalc next year. An online option would be great. Or something with very clear videos. Any ideas? Thanks, K
Luckymama
Derek Owens seems to be very popular. http://www.derekowens.com
AK_Mom4
askdrCallahan.com has DVD lectures thru Calc. Oldest DD enjoyed the lectures very much (she was homeschooling her senior year and did their Calculus course).
hornblower
Is it just me or has Chalkdust fallen out of favour on this board? & if so, can anyone say why?
NoPlaceLikeHome
Homeschool Buyers Coop has Thinkwell on sale this week which has a Pre-calc course and various others.
dereksurfs
Take a look at WilsonHillAcademy. They offer 'live' online courses with excellent teacher/student interaction and support. After such a positive experience with WHA this year we've decided to outsource all future math courses. I highly recommend outsourcing at this stage and beyond based on what you've described with your ds. Once you find a good fit it feels like a large weight is lifted off your shoulders!
