Jessiepage
I'm planning to start FLL with my 2nd grader this fall. I noticed WWE is recommended to use along with FLL but from the samples, it seems like alot. My daughter loves writing. We dis a few writing units last year and she loved them. If you use FLL, what do you use for writing? Or does FLL cover writing already? If so, when do you add writing? Thanks!
Five More Minutes
I used FLL and WWE together and didn't find it too much. WWE2 takes us maybe 10-15 minutes tops each day, 4 days/week.
Upennmama
I find FLL and WWE both to be very easy for my kids. Each takes about 5-10 minutes. FLL isn't writing, it's more grammar stuff.

Jessiepage
Do you use the teaching manual with these? I see a manual for writing but not FLL
WahM
I also use both because they are two different programs and teach two different subjects one being grammar the other being writing. I think they're great and definitely not too much work.
reign
We have used WWE and FLL. FLL is grammar. There is no teacher manual. The book is done orally for the most part and has some copy work. For WWE you just need the workbook. Though her audio lectures on teaching writing are very helpful. WWE mainly covers comprehension and narration. There is copy work and later dictation. There is no original writing for the student. You should definently look at the previews of the programs to make sure it's what your looking for.
