1bassoon Posted February 7, 2015 Share Posted February 7, 2015 So - get this!I just got an email about a bassoon gig - and there's a seriously decent chance that - wait for it - I'll get to play with an orchestra at the 50th Anniversary of the Selma march, AT THE FOOT OF THE EDMUND PETTIS BRIDGE! :hurray: :party: I'm SERIOUSLY geeked out about this. The President will be there (although likely not for the concert), tons of famous people. We'll take charter buses down there due to the crowds, with a police escort. Anywho, I'm not 100% sure it's going to fly (there are some questions about $$, and about playing outside if the weather's bad - not so good for a woodwind) but just the thought has me all a-flutter!!!
