Ali in OR
Here's my list--not sure if we'll be able to fit it all in, particularly reading assigned to dd. Read-alouds Gilgamesh-Bernarda Bryson Tales of Ancient Egypt-Roger Lancelyn Green (we read many but not all) The Analects-Confucius (collection of short, wise sayings--we'll read some but not all) Tales of the Greek Heroes-Green Black Ships Before Troy The Wanderings of Odysseus The Aeneid (it might be called In Search of a Homeland--same publisher but different author as BSBT and TWOO above) Julius Caesar-Shakespeare Shadow Spinner King Arthur--this might be Roger Lancelyn Green too Otto Man of Iron?? For dd to read The Chi Lin Purse Greek Myths (D'Aulaire or Guerber) Norse Myths (D'Aulaire) Anna of Byzantium Seven Daughters Adam of the Road The Vikings (Landmark) Castle Diary These are mostly books we have on our shelves from years of doing Biblioplan (plus others--Confucius was mine from college). Dd's older sister read most of these but this dd was too young for them last time we cycled through ancients.

Ali in OR
Nope--that will be next year! I'll probably look at what's on our shelves and what *I* want to read next summer. Come to think of it, I don't even have volume 2 yet.
FriedClams
We're using HO 1 as a spine with Sonlight core w. Might be worth a look. My kids are loving the combination.

Kareni
Kareni...did your dd read all of those books?! Yes, she did. Those from which she read selections I marked as such. She was and remains a rather voracious reader. Regards, Kareni
