Geometry like Saxon

Recommended Posts

Well, we really liked the Saxon Geometry (used it with two kids) and I would not give it a bad review.  The first edition was full of errors, but the 2nd was much better.  If you like Saxon, you should give it a look before tossing it out.

Some other choices:

Math Without borders uses Chakerian's Geometry: A Guided Inquiry and has DVDs.  A bit different, but a pretty solid book.

AskDrCallahan.com offers DVDs that go with Jacobs' Geometry text.  We have used these DVDs before (Calculus) and they are very good and affordable.

Derek Owens' Geometry class also uses the Jacobs book.

So sorry to hear your update.  I have heard that My Father's World (MFW) uses Jacob's Geometry in between Saxon Alg. I and II.  They use Saxon Math from 7th to 12th grade EXCEPT for inserting Jacob's Geometry, so I guess you are in good company here with not liking Saxon's Geometry!
