Moxie
If that makes any sense! There are 2 days a week that I don't leave the house until 7 PM. Looking put together is important to me but I don't want to run around the house in my skinny jeans those days. I have yoga pants but I don't answer the door in them--just too much tush showing for my comfort level. Maybe I need longer shirts?? What are some cute, comfy lounge pants? ILiveInFlipFlops
I like yoga capris or pants personally, because I don't like too much fabric swishing around my legs generally. In your case, I'd get myself some longer, tunic-type tops to hang around in.
prairiewindmomma
There are a lot of leggings material/soft knit trousers out there. I am wearing some from NY and co. right now! I have another pair by Calvin Klein I picked up at TJ Maxx. I usually pair them with solid color nicer t-shirts....Ann Taylor loft. I throw on a pair of earrings and some moisturizing tinted lipglosd and call it good. I feel like I am wearing pjs but I am ok to drop kids off at scouts, answer the door, make an unexpected target run, etc.
ILiveInFlipFlops
Oh, I also forgot that Lands' End Starfish pants are super comfortable: http://www.landsend.com/shop/womens/-/N-fxlZjmn I have the capris, of course  But my aunt buys the regular pants and she says they're probably the most comfortable pants she's ever owned. They wash fairly well, and they're well constructed. If you watch for sales, you can usually catch them at 30% or 40% off.

Tmhearn
Maybe you can put loungewear on your gift list. ;-)
Joyofsixreboot
I like fleece lined leggings and thigh length sweaters over. Comfy, warm but covers. If I add boots I can go out, if I'm in they are as comfy as sweats. I also bought a pair of pretty sweat pants and a hoodie (baby blue pants, yellow hoodie).I wouldn't go out in it but can answer the door
