athomeontheprairie
Three weeks ago I decided to eliminate my coffee consumption. For many reasons. 2 weeks ago I decided I would have a cup at church. it was heavenly! and for the rest of the day my 4 month old nursing baby complained :-(. That was enough to convince me I needed to leave it for good. I started drinking hot tea in the morning. The tea is lightly caffeinated, I feel like it is much gentler and it doesn't seem to affect the baby. but I MISS the coffee! I like it. I enjoy the taste. at this point I feel like I my want it is completely emotional, anyone BTDT? Does it get better?
G5052
No, it doesn't get better (LOL). I used to drink it off and on all day, and now drink only one maybe two cups in the morning. Periodically I switch to tea, but I always go back!

I keep thinking only one more week and it will get better. Sad
Susan C.
Treat yourself to wonderful tea! I recently discovered Numi Tea, oh my goodness! The high caffeine category might bother baby, but there are plenty of offerings in medium caffeine. Golden Chai, Gunpowder Green, and Chocolate Puryea (sp?) are my favorites. Also, would decaf coffee bother baby? Then at least you could have the flavor you like.
mytwomonkeys
Do you have a Keurig? The chai latte is yummy!! As good as coffee!!! :)
lavender's green
I feel your pain. I recently quit because it was giving me headaches every afternoon. Tea is nice, but there's just something special about coffee... :(
readinmom
It's been 45 days for me. Even though I'm a decaf person, it was tough to give it up. I still had the headache, withdrawal symptoms... I have become an avid tea drinker. It took 3-4 days for my Starbucks cravings to subside.
