dovrar
I have a friend that told me that when her oldest son was about to eat her out of house and home she bought him a ten pound bag of potatoes and told him those (with cheese and whatever other toppings) were for him to snack on during the week. Anyone else have ideas for filling snacks for growing teens that won't break the bank? Thanks!
kewb
I make a lot of muffins with oats in them. Oats are filling. I also make a lot of things from scratch and keep them in the freezer-toaster pastries, waffles, fruit bars, etc.
MomOfOneFunOne
AMDG My kiddo loves gk yogurt topped with caramelized onions and salted. (Veggie) sandwich meat wrapped around a string cheese stick and dipped in dijon mustard. Pita with hummus and veggies. A bowl of soup with a big dollop of gk yogurt and a crispy toasted ww pita. I always have a pot of soup in the fridge for easy, serve-yourself, anytime snacks. I usually make minestrone every other week and something alternating in between. Toasted corn tortillas topped with beans, cheese, and salsa. Broccoli, butter, lemon, and salt. Popcorn drizzled with olive oil and sprinkled with sumac (zataar). Artichokes and anything. *blushing*: capers and dijon mustard on ww toast, pickle juice and crackers,

AK_Mom4
Burritos made out of left-over "things". "Things" might include spaghetti, beans, rice, sausage, eggs, veggies... whatever doesn't scurry away when the kid opens the fridge door. Muffins and cheese sticks. Leftover pancakes. dbmamaz
I guess we're pretty simple here - cereal, whole peanuts with shells on (slows him down a bit), and big bags of baby carrots. We're trying to keep the weight down, though.
