mommymonster Posted December 23, 2013 Share Posted December 23, 2013 My children have been crazy-wild-excited for our holiday break to start, which it did on Friday. I even had to promise that we wouldn't do anything remotely educational for one whole week. So far this morning, the boys, of their own volition, have practiced their Latin, watched Schoolhouse Rock grammar, and read three history books (older reading to younger). Do I tell them to stop? Do I just wait until they ask to do math? Do I prohibit this educational behavior and tell them to go get their light sabers out? (This is a tongue-in-cheek post, of course. mommymonster Posted December 23, 2013 Author Share Posted December 23, 2013 I promise to leave them be. Just found DS8 reading a chapter book to DS4 (Pirate Magic Treehouse Fact Checker). This is a bit of a Christmas miracle, as DS8 has a moderately severe vision processing disorder. I may need to consider a longer break, if this keeps up!
