ThatHomeschoolDad
Most of DD12's friends live in other counties, but I know you're out there, middle-school-HSers, because there's a huge arts co-op in Randolph. Anyone?
dsmith
Have you joined the group on meetup.com? It's called NJ Homeschool Hangout, and they seem to have a few Morris County events every month. We're not in Morris County anymore, but I miss it! ThatHomeschoolDad
We were in the Hangout for a few years. It seemed to skew a lot younger, and more toward unschoolers. DD had only sporadic success connecting there.
Wheres Toto
There's a group for Morris County Homeschoolers on Facebook (although that probably does run younger - the oldest kid I've seen referred to on there is 11), as well as one for the NJ Homeschool Hang-out that seems to have more involvement than the meet-up group. I've seen a couple activities like game days at Panera, or book clubs for teens and tweens.
ThatHomeschoolDad
We actually used to run those game days at Panera under the yahoo group NJ_Homeschool_98201 (kids born between 1998 and 2001). It went gangbusters for a few years in Bergen County, but fizzled. Haven't found a book club yet. We did just do model UN through AHMUNC in Princeton and DD loved it. Made some friends.
