LinRTX Posted August 10, 2013 Share Posted August 10, 2013 I had my second child and first girl. She was purple at birth and rushed into ICU. I was sent home with her 3 days later when all tests showed nothing wrong. Two days later we are back in emergency with a child who refuses to nurse and looks blue again. It turns out the cartilage in her trachea was immature and was collapsing as she tried to breathe! A very long year of trying to keep her alive ensued, but eventually she grew out of it and today she is a beautiful and poised 24 year old who has a very firm idea of what she wants in life!
