Laurie4b
I had just read that article and was coming on here to post it. I think she's very helpful with explaining what blindspots one can have when one is in a position of privilege. The other two in the triad of articles were also good. I liked this one, especially, written by the pastor of a multiethnic church a few blocks from where the tragedy occurred.http://www.christianitytoday.com/edstetzer/2013/july/verdict-is-in-and-we-all-lost.html
Catwoman
If this has been posted in one of the threads, forgive me. I am not wading through them. http://www.christianitytoday.com/edstetzer/2013/july/3-things-privileged-christians-can-learn-from-trayvon-marti.html I'm not going anywhere near those other threads, either. I have read bits and pieces of them, and can't imagine them ending well, as emotions are running way too high on both sides of the issue. Frankly, I'm surprised the moderators are allowing them to continue.
milovany
They're not bad, that's why they're being allowed to continue. People disagree but no one is being mean.
