Bang!Zoom!
I noticed this the other night when I was in a Barnes and Nobles. Cannot *believe* the price of magazines anymore. The one which about killed me was an iPad app magazine, the newest, latest and greatest all complied in a 20 dollar magazine. There has *got* to be a snazzy sight which equals that issue. Anyone know of a good quality one? I just stood there and thought, "Okay, I'm paying for the right to read advertisements?" Wha? Seems like most magazines are 90 percent ads and very little content anymore, doesn't it?
unsinkable
I think they are so expensive per issue because they'd rather you'd become a subscriber.
Mommyof4ks
Yea, buying off the shelf is very expensive, but we get several magazines for $3.99 each per year through magazines dot com with coupon codes. :)
HollyDay
I know!! Last Christmas, I was in Barnes and Noble and bought a magazine and a hot chocolate. The bill was just at $20!!! I decided I didn't want the magazine after all.
Pegasus
I think they are so expensive per issue because they'd rather you'd become a subscriber. :iagree: Yes. We have a couple subscriptions to magazines and pay very little ($10/year Time, free promotion for a year of Smithsonian). I do pay quite a bit for a few higher quality kid magazines (Muse, Cricket, Cicada) on subscription.
