rjand6more
I am looking for bible curriculum for next year. Ds has completed the bible in MFW AHL, WHL, and USH 1. I have decided to go another direction for 12th grade. I have not done much research because I have always just followed MFW(and SL before that.) He's had: 9th-OT survey 10th-NT survey 11th-Biblical Worldview I would love to see something that would challenge him a bit. Thanks!! Twigs
How about an inductive Bible study, such as offered by Precept Ministries? The best ones for beginners are some fro the New Testament, such as 1 John 2 Timothy Philippians
mumto2
If you like RC Sproul take a look at the Ligonier Ministries website. They suppot Reformation Bible College. Some great deals can be found on Fridays. They have a $5 sale every Friday. His dvd courses are wonderful!
MIch elle
Theology for a Troubled Believer or something by C.S. Lewis and/or Church history
Candid
I always recommend a systematic theology that explains how the parts of the Bible relate to each other. Many protestants like Wayne Gruden's Systematic Theology, but you could also use an older reformed document and a commentary.

rjand6more
Theology for a Troubled Believer or something by C.S. Lewis and/or Church history I put this in my Amazon basket. Very applicable, as he will soon venture out on his own. Thank you for the suggestion!

I wonder how to "evaluate" a bible/religion class. Any ideas?

I think at least with systematic theology, I'd go with essays answers. If you've never read systematic theology do it with him. OR be low key, have some Socratic discussions each week and use that to give him a basic letter grade. Most nonChristian schools aren't going to get excited about this course anyway, so focus on you knowing he's understanding and integrating the material and don't worry about a formal grading system.
