Prairie~Phlox
It's faded and ugly, but came off easily will fit in my washer. i think I should be able to dye it. What color should I use if it's light beige/ugly light brown?
Mandylubug
I would dye it back a light to medium brown, slightly darker than original.
gingersmom
Isn't it less trouble to just buy a new one? I never knew you could even take them off. Weird.
Prairie~Phlox
A new one is about $115 at Sam's, this one tllts too. My husband paints apartments when college students move out and this was left behind last fall. We are able to take leftover stff, so we got a nice iron table & chairs as well, but the umbrella is ugly. We enjoy using it and I don't have money for a new one. So I thought this would be a cheaper fix.
gingersmom
Wow! I think the last one I bought was around $15 at Home Depot. Dye away!
Tap
I doubt that you could dye it. It most likely has a waterproof barrier sprayed on it (or is woven from a synthetic fiber) which will prevent the dye from penetrating the fabric.

Prairie~Phlox
Thanks for the suggestions, it's pretty faded & worn and I found replacement canopies for less than $25, that Zi can probably do.
