skimomma
I need some quick advice. I am going to an open house graduation party for a girl in our neighborhood. She has been our baby/house/cat sitter for the last 4 years and has been very reliable and friendly, frequently going the extra mile. She is going away to college next fall. We are acquaintances with her parents. We plan to give her the typical graduation gift of money. What amount is appropriate given our relationship? I have no idea what the "going rate" is these days......
texasmama
In this situation, I would give her a minimum of $25. Any amount is appropriate, and if you want to give more and are able to give more, that would be appreciated, I'm sure. My dd is graduating from high school, and she has received monetary gifts ranging from $25 - $100.
Starr
I have a friend that gives everyone $30.00. I wish I made rules like this then I wouldn't have to fret every time someone graduated. My dd received more in the $50.00 range than I expected.
AK_Mom4
$30 is our graduation present price point too.
PrincessMommy
Agreeing with other $30 or $40 is a very nice gift. She'll need the money for supplying her dorm room (or paying for books).
