Monica_in_Switzerland
I'd like to order some books that correspond with SOTW2. Any great ones to be sure not to miss? I'm looking for read-alouds, as well as books that can be read at approx 3-4th grade reading level. Thanks!
Lulamae
I'm just beginning to work on my list for next year. We'll be SOTW2 with a 2nd grader and a 5th grader. I haven't purchased the activity guide yet so I don't know what is recommended in it. I always hear about how good the Sonlight book selections are so I found this resource: http://homescool-ed.blogspot.com/2007/04/sonlight-books-arranged-by-well-trained.html I'm not sure if these are 'can't miss' or not. I'm also going to look at the Veritas Press selections because I've also heard good things about them. Hope this helps. I'll be watching to see what others say! -lu
happypamama
Two of our favorites were "Good Masters, Sweet Ladies" and "Castle Diary: The Journal of Tobias Burgess." Also, David Macaulay's "Castle" and "Cathedral."

skeeterbug
There's another GTTA book for this period, Adventures in the Middle Ages. My kids love them too!
