Guest jumpinjen Posted March 30, 2013 Share Posted March 30, 2013 Hi Everyone... I am Jenni, home schooling Mum to two girls of nearly 6 and 8, a boy of 20 months and one on the way in the Summer. We've homeschooled from the started (or home educated as it is more commonly called over here) and things are great. I write a lot of my own stuff for the girls based on their interests, particularly science) we use whatever is best suited and most useful to them and they way they like to learn, so are pretty eclectic with Montessori language and maths materials mixed up with lots of Charlotte Mason style living books, and a dollop of classical texts thrown in! I seem to have an allergy to text books, work sheets and time fillers and we love anything hands on! I found this place after searching for more information on BFSU. I am trying to get some 'ready made' plans sorted for September as with a newborn to cuddle I know I won't be up to my usual planning and organising speed! Thanks for having me!
