DarlaS
and the last time I bought one was 2009. I love my current bag, which is styled like a small messenger bag (It's a Haiku) but it's time for a change of pace. Would like to keep it under $100, need room for a kindle fire 8.9 and a few odds and ends, so not too small. I love the idea of a small backpack style shoulder bag--something that won't fall in front of me every time I lean forward to pick something up etc. I love the way this one looks, but I need something smaller. Imagine that laptop as a tablet and that's the scale I'm hoping to find: http://www.amazon.com/National-Geographic-NG-A5250-Rucksack/dp/B003WE9MKK/ref=sr_1_5?ie=UTF8&qid=1364244308&sr=8-5&keywords=small+rucksack
Catwoman
If I wanted to stay under $100, yet still get something nice, I'd check stores like Marshall's and TJMaxx. They often have name brand handbags at very reasonable prices, and there is often a clearance rack where you can find some real bargains. Kim in Appalachia
I have this one from LL Bean. I love it. I have the small size and I can fit an iPad in it.
zoobie
Bagallini messenger bag Kipling bags have several styles that might work. I got one a few months ago and love it. And I love the stuffed monkey dongle. :) Ameribags have a few sizes and colors, including leather.
DarlaS
Bagallini messenger bag That was exactly what I was picturing! I'm probably going to order it tomorrow. I like the Ameribag too. I just wish I could see it being worn. If I haven't bought a purse in four years, I might just be able to justify two. :w00t: Thanks everyone! ILiveInFlipFlops
I spend a lot of time on Etsy, fantasizing about all the bags I wish I could own. Lots of artisans there make bags sized for devices and various purposes. Be prepared to lose a few hours if you go there though!
