Freckles
I'm looking for literature guides for my dd's 8th grade year. I'm currently looking at the following: The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn A Christmas Carol To Kill a Mockingbird A Tale of Two Cities I would love recommendations of your favorite lit guides. Thanks!
TarynB
Have you looked at Garlic Press guides? I recommend those. Lightning Lit is also mentioned often.

fiddle
If you are Christian, we really like the Progeny Press Guides and I think they have them for all of these you listed. There are always free ones, too, like the Glencoe, etc. Paula
3andme
I have found the free Glencoe literary guides to be very good. They have Huckleberry Finn, To Kill a Mockingbird, and Tale of 2 cities,
lisabees
I like the Garlic Press Challenging guides. I know there is one for To Kill a Mockingbird; I just received it in the mail. ;) We are currently reading Huck. I am using a combo of Signet Classics free guide, PBS's Guide, Shmoop and the free Glencoe guide linked in above post.
laughing lioness
I like Memoria Press and Lightening Lit. I'm generally NOT a big fan of lit guides unless I'm totally unfamiliar with the book. Do you really need them?
HollyDay
Just a thought......Have you considered Drawn Into the Heart of Literature? It is a "master guide", broken up by genre that you can use with any book.
3andme
Here's another interesting free guide for To Kill a Mockingbird. The Big Read also has guides for many other classics.
