Jeanne in MN
Anyone know where to get magnet sets that are inexpensive? I would like to teach a class, but need magnets for mutliple children and need to keep the cost down. Why are they so expensive anyway? Chris in VA
Dollar store here sells complete alphabet sets or numbers for a buck. You can also buy a sheet of magnet paper that has a sticky front and just make your own to cut apart. Michael's, craft stores, sometimes even the dollar store, again, has these. GreenKitty
The Dollar store or Target. We made our own by finding things around the house and attaching magnetic strip to the back. A large roll of magnetic strip is inexpensive. You would not believe the ammount of things around the house that can be made into a magnet! small toys, stickers, printoffs, game pieces, bingo pieces, foam cutouts...etc.etc.etc. When I first began making them I was crazy with finding more and more items to put that stuff on! katilac
would Magnetix work? (magnetic construction set that has various shaped magnets, like small balls, rods, etc) I was in Toys R Us yesterday, and they had a bunch of sets on clearance. Target online has the 155 piece tin for $20 right now; I don't remember if the TRU prices were better than that.
