HappyGrace
7th (now)-Pre-Alg 8th-Alg 9th-Geom 10th-Alg 2 11th-Pre-Calc 12th-Calc Where do we do Trig? Is that always, sometimes, or never in with Alg 2? (I see that Foerster does that?) So far we're planning to *try* to get thru calc in 12th if possible because so far dd is considering physical therapy or nursing or possibly something in the medical field. Even if that doesn't pan out, I'd like to have her on track just in case.
Dmmetler
Trigonometry is usually part of Pre-calculus.
regentrude
Trigonometry constitutes about half of the precalculus course.
Jane in NC
I would say that this is in part curriculum dependent. Trig is briefly introduced in geometry. Many Algebra II books will have a good dose of trig within them but some have none. At the latest, students see trig in Precalc.

Kareni
My daughter did both College Algebra and Trigonometry (two separate courses) at the local community college after finishing Algebra II at home. The textbook used for both the community college courses was Sullivan's PreCalculus. Regards, Kareni
