DragonFaerie
DD11 wants new furniture. She's had her current furniture since she was 5 and wants something more grown up now. She likes dorm style furniture, especially loft beds with the desks underneath them. I've searched online and checked out Ikea, Target, etc., but everything I find is really expensive. I'm not handy, so building something ourselves won't work. Does anybody have any suggestions for something more affordable?
Spryte
Ikea. :)
DragonFaerie
Ikea. :) I've searched their website and couldn't find much of anything.
Spryte
Oops, you did say you'd searched Ikea. Silly me. My son had a great set like you described - from Ikea. Years ago though. What about Craigslist?
DianeW88
Pottery Barn Teen. They're not cheap, but you can get some great ideas from them and re-invent them with furniture from other places. Do you have a "paint/finish your own" furniture store around you? You can get really creative and make some really fun pieces that way. Starr
Ikea has more in their stores and Walmart has some similar furniture.
DragonFaerie
Thanks for the suggestions. I'm thinking maybe instead of buying new furniture we can redecorate what she has. That would probably be the less expensive option. New curtains, paint the walls, fun rug, bedding. Maybe I can sell her on the idea. :D
