Angel
I have been miserable since Monday. Started out as a sore throat with lots of sinus drainage. Still have that with a fever and horrible body aches. Fever isn't even high, it's like 100. I can't concentrate or get comfortable or sleep well. I don't think it's strep because sore throat seems to be related to the drainage. I don't think it's a sinus infection, at least not yet, it doesn't feel the same. Is this a bug of some sort without a lot of symptoms?? Even my fingers are aching! Ugh. Thanks for listening to me whine.
Luckymama
That's what I had last week! Awful painful sore throat, low grade fever, chills, and aches. It was nasty. So sorry :grouphug:

Angel
I had wondered about the flu, but with so few symptoms. I forgot to add that my glands are swollen and sore, sore, sore. Honestly, I just wanted to whine to someone. I don't even feel like reading.
fairfarmhand
Sounds like the flu. I went to mayo clinic and we had every single symptom. Surprisingly, they don't list stomach issues as a symptom of flu. Also, are you sure that your thermometer is accurate?
momto10blessings
When we had the flu this year our throats were so, so, so sore. Sinuses were terrible. Not much cough until other symptoms went away. I was sure I had strep and a sinus infection. Also had low grade fever, chills, aches and pains, fatigue. Everyone handles it different. momto10blessings
Oh, and one of my kids had a huge swollen lymph node on his neck. Dr thought for sure he had strep too, but everything was negative. I'm not a doctor but I would say you have the flu
Angel
Also, are you sure that your thermometer is accurate? Actually, I don't think it is. The last time I had the flu, I had every symptom in the book. I just assumed it would be the same.

I asked because usually body aches that severe are tied in with higher fevers. Take some motrin to help your achiness.
Tiramisu
No swollen glands and only an irriated sore throat, but what I have is similar. My fingers ache, too. And my feet. I took an ibuprofen and it didn't really help with the aches. My eyes are really sore.
