Susann
she had in Europe-mostly Germany- is different that what's available here. Can't remember what she said the difference was now-anyone else notice this?
kewb
Most likely it does not have high fructose corn syrup, soy lechtin, and other additives.
Susann
Could I order the type of Nutella that she got in Europe? She really misses it! Of course, when she was there, she really missed peanut butter and I had to regularly mail it to her!
regentrude
Most likely it does not have high fructose corn syrup, soy lechtin, and other additives. The US version of nutella does not contain high fructose corn syrup. The European version of nutella does contain soy lecithin, just as the US version does. Both contain vanillin. The German version does not specify what kind of vegetable oil is used; other than that, the ingredients are the same as in the US version. There are two different versions of nutella in Europe; the Northern countries have a different one than the Southern countries. As far as I know, the difference is sugar and cocoa content and texture.
KungFuPanda
Could she have had a different brand? I get some other version at the middle eastern store and my daughter prefers it over nutella, but I don't remember the brand.
PrincessMommy
I don't know about Nutella, but Fanta soda in Italy was definitely not as sweet as soda in America.
kewb
Oh, you are right. Last time I bought nutella it did which is one of the reasons I stopped.
Guest elvesandgiants
http://www.germandeli.com/nutella.html sells the real stuff. There's nothing like German Nutella!
Susann
elvesandgiants thanks for the link! Think I'll order her some as a surprise. PrincessMommy-DD said the same thing about the soft drinks. I don't think she's had over 4 or 5 soft drinks in her life but she said she was drinking it over there because all the water was carbonated.
