Memorization from "The Hobbit"?

My son is in 8th grade and is involved in an oratorical presentation that he has to be ready for February 12. He wants to memorize a section from "The Hobbit". It has to be fairly long. I'm not familiar with the book and he hasn't read it for awhile.

Does anyone know it well enough to give me some direction on this?

Thanks so much!

Gandalf: Saruman believes it is only great power that can hold evil in check, but that is not what I have found. I found it is the small everyday deeds of ordinary folk that keep the darkness at bay. Small acts of kindness and love. Why Bilbo Baggins? I don't know. Perhaps because I am afraid, and he gives me courage.
