blondeviolin
This year, art and music have fallen by the wayside. Next year, I'm hoping art will be better with Home Art Studio. Is there any music curric with 18 lessons or so that teaches about musicians? I'm not picky about music theory as I have plans to teach piano at some point. Mostly I'd like some easy lay out to teach some famous musicians and the like.
Amy Jo
Classics for Kids. Just pick a few composers, or use their featured composer. Easy.
Miss Tick
We've been using the lapbook from Homeschool in the Woods, the Composer Activity-Pak. I don't know how they really intended it to be used, but I just use the timeline and go from composer to composer. A few days before I look for related books at the library and (if needed) internet links. It keeps us moving, I like that it is chronological, and there are something like 42 composers, so we will be in it for 2 or 3 years. It might be a bit far out of reach for my middles that I want to include. :)

Doodle
We are reading through the book Story of the Orchestra. It covers composers (chronologically) as well as the instruments in an orchestra. It also comes with a CD with samples of classical music. Doodle enjoys when we read the book and loves the CD.
sierramv1
We use Confessions of a Homeschooler - World's Greatest Composer Study along with the Story of the Orchestra. There is a little set-up work, but the day to day is pretty easy.
