Jean in Newcastle
I have a big list. But we have a command appearance with the in-laws - perhaps for lunch - perhaps for dinner - perhaps not at all. Dh is trying to nail down the details. Hopefully he'll give me enough notice to show up wherever and whenever. If not, oh well. I am not stressing about this. I decided about 10 years ago to not enter the drama of these things and to just go with the flow. I also decided to stop organizing any of them other than perhaps making a reservation at a restaurant. No mental / emotional energy and no physical energy wasted either. But it does make it hard to plan my errands!
Liz CA
Go on errands and when the cell rings, tell them where you are, how long it's going to take and head on over. :D I too like to be able to plan my day.

Parrothead
Yeah, what Liz said. They can't expect you to sit around waiting all day for a maybe. Go on with your life.
Jean in Newcastle
About 4 pm I got a call telling me that we were meeting for dinner at a nearby restaurant at 5 pm. We had a nice dinner. One sister didn't come because she didn't get the message until we were done with dinner so they took her the leftovers.:D It was all good. Hedgehog
Glad you were able to go, and enjoyed it! That situation would totally throw me though - I need at least 24hrs warning, and even then I feel a bit wobbly!!

That situation would totally throw me though - I need at least 24hrs warning, and even then I feel a bit wobbly!! It used to throw me. Then I realized that it was a Filipino thing and I'd better get used to it. So I did.
