Janie Grace
Do you have your kids just make the edits on the text, or rewrite the whole passage? TIA!

Janie Grace
Okay, so they don't use those blank lines at the bottom AT ALL? Or they use them if they need to rewrite something hard to squeeze in? Sorry to be dense.
GoVanGogh
I have DS edit the original text. I use the lines to write out explanations, as needed. Examples: We came across the word "there" used incorrectly the other day, so I wrote out "there" and "their" along with samples of their usage on the lines. I will re-write a run-on sentence so DS has a clean example of how and why it needs to be broken into two sentences. If DS has problems understanding why something is wrong, I will use that space to write out examples. If DS missed a misspelled word, I will have him write the word correctly three times. --- FYI: Ironically, we have found that the number of errors listed in the text does not always match the number of errors given on the answer pages. :glare:
