amy g.
We made a whole bunch yesterday to sell with our laundry soap. I used them this morning, and I was wondering what size you prefer. Ours vary wildly in size, but I think I will just let customers pick any three regardless of the size. I'm really happy with how pretty they are. I can't tell if they really cut down on drying time, so I might have to try some experiments.
Caitilin
We do! Ours are about the size of tennis balls; I think they help some with drying time...:001_smile:
amy g.
Thanks! I put everything on the "less dry" setting, and they came out great, but maybe I've just been over drying our clothes all of these years. How many do you use at a time? I scented ours with a patchouli, sandalwood, jasmine, orange blend, and the laundry smells yummy. I could just market it for aromatherapy for scullery maids. Caitilin
Well, I use 2 at a time, but I think we have 4 or 5 of them. If you start selling them, do make sure not to scent them all--I wouldn't buy a scented one, even though I like the things themselves, kwim? amy g.
I'm not scenting the ones we sell, but if someone at the market buys a set, I'll offer to take them home, scent them, and bring them back the next week.
Cinder
I tried to use wool balls in the dryer. But dh and the kids think they make better playing balls. (Wow--they bounce so well! Catch!!) :glare: The cat likes them, too. I only had 2 so that's all I used. They were slightly smaller than a tennis ball. I have no idea if they reduced drying time. Hmm, I have some scrap wool. I think I will make myself a couple more of these.
catz
Wow - never heard of this! Cool idea. I have tons of wool here too.
Kebo
Our are about tennis ball size, too. Maybe a bit smaller. Scented sounds nice, if it is all natural scents. And subtle.
