LittleIzumi
but I'm delaying, as my generally reading-phobic dd is curled up on the recliner reading The Black Stallion Returns. :svengo: I'm sure I can find something else to do while she reads. Voluntarily. A chapter book. With little type. And no pictures. :w00t: It's like Christmas! (After 3 years of reading she still was only comfortable with picture books, generally. She's branching out this summer, apparently! :D ) Edited June 25, 2012 by LittleIzumi
LillyMama
That's awesome! For what it's worth, I wouldn't consider a six year old who can read The Black Stallion Returns as reading-phobic. We celebrated last week when my almost-seven year old finished the Bob books. ;)
Night Elf
Oooh... that definitely calls for a postponement of plans. Good for her, but on the downlow. I wouldn't make too much of a big deal or then she senses she's been "taken". :)

Mommyof4ks
Awesome!!! There is probably still a pile of laundry somewhere that you can do instead. :D

SKL
My youngest always picks up a book as a ploy to delay bedtime. :glare: Gotta love the self-motivation, though! There's nothing quite like it.
