Tress
Does anybody else have problems with the search function? I can't find anything. No matter what search term I use, it keeps telling me there are no matches. :bigear:
ABQmom
Yes, I was just experiencing the exact same thing and came here to find out why.
djsmom
I'm having the same problem. I posted about it a few days ago on the Sale and Swap Board.
shukriyya
Same here.
Tapasnaturalles
Yep, here too! I was trying to search for information about IXL and MEP and there were "no matches", which is just impossible, cause I know there are threads about it.
magnificent_baby
I am having a lot of trouble searching as well. Anyone know what's wrong?
amydavis
Yes, same problem. The search function doesn't seem to recognize any of the common abbreviations, like FLL, LOF, etc.
SophiaH
Please, fix this!!!! The search function hasn't worked right in over six months (maybe a year?), and now it rarely works at all! I love these forums, but this search issue is frustrating. :glare: I still miss when we used to be able to put in two terms in the search box and it would only find threads that contained them both. Those were the days. :001_wub:
BinahYeteirah
On other vBulletin boards I've used, the search feature does not work on terms with three characters or less, so three-letter abbreviations don't work. I've had other issues with the search feature. I just searched for "miquon" using the basic search. Then I searched for "annotations", since I was certain that search missed some threads I remembered, and got a bunch of threads that clearly included the word "miquon", but were not included in my first search using that term. Weird.
amydavis
The thing is, the search function used to recognize those three letter terms. Then it seems like there was a problem with it some time in the past, and then the problem was remedied. Yet, here it seems to be doing it again. I'm not sure when it became an issue again, but it sure is frustrating.
*Michelle*
It doesn't recognize search techniques like quotation marks or plus/minus signs either.
kareng
I'm still having problems with the search functions as others have noted in the above entries. Are others still as well? I'd love to be able to search for AAS and not get "Sorry no matches" or get multiple entries that aren't really correct -- I just searched for "Logic of English" and got Logic entries and English entries. UGH. I love this forum but it's hard to navigate when you can't find what you know is there!
