shinyhappypeople
My DDs (7 yo and 8 yo) love to cut and paste. Is anyone familiar with any workbooks or activity books that would appeal to them?
Heart_Mom
The Kumon books. We have Easy Crafts and Amazing Crafts. It says 4,5,6 on one and 5,6,7 on the other, but frankly my pretty adept 6 year old still needs a lot of help with them so I think they would be perfect for slightly older kids. I'm not the o.p., but thanks for posting these! I think my girls will really, really like them! My 8 year old has been asking for a cut & paste book like this, but I only knew about ones for really young children. Thanks again! :001_smile:
lillehei
One that is fun for learning is The Body Book by Scholastic. The kids put together a three foot replica of the human body with all the different systems. It's labeled Grades 3-6. I would recommend getting the downloadable version off the website so you don't have to hand copy from the book, you can just print as many copies as you need. woolybear
What about doing lapbooks? There's lots of cut and pasting involved.
MamaSheep
Have you looked into lapbooking?
Heart_Mom
The cool think about the crafts is that you can often play with them too. Exactly! And it's not a "toy" that has to be kept for a long time, either! (I'm into as little clutter as possible, although I always seem to be fighting a losing battle!) KarenNC
Look into History Pockets. Dover also has any number of cut and assemble crafts.
mumto2
Great Science Adventures has a lot of projects that involve cutting and pasting. Also a lot of folding! Good science curriculum too.
sandra in va
Considering God's Creation is another science program that has a lot of cutting and pasting. I'm looking into it for my 8 and 9 yo dd's for next year. :)
