mama25angels
Bumping for you!! This is what "I think" I would do. for the 1st grader I would use the: HWT 1 MP Story time treasures guide FLL 1 &2 the 4th grader: KISS grammar WWW 4 MP The Moffats I would use AO reading lists and Linguistic Development Through Poetry Memorization for both girls. SuperDad
4th Dictation Day by Day (knocks out spelling, penmanship, some grammar, and dictation all at once!) KISS Grammar Beyond FIAR (you can cut out the social studies/history and science stuff and just focus on the language arts component) Optional - WWW (the other programs will be sufficient for writing but if you want direct, explicit instruction, use this) One option might be to use Beyond FIAR in the first semester (it's only a half-year course) and compacted WWW4 in the second semester. 1st Grader HWT FLL StoryTime Treasures OR Ox Cart Man Optional - FIAR Vol. 1 Both: Linguistic Development Though Poetry Memorization, AO Reading Lists That is what I *think* I would do. You can sell some of the other stuff. Best of luck! Edited April 9, 2012 by SuperDad
Ellie
HWT - gr. 1 Progeny Press- Ox Cart Man First Language Lessons 3- teacher guide only Beyond FIAR Memoria Press Lit. guide - The Moffats Memoria Press - Storytime Treasures First Language Lessons vol. 1 & 2 Ambleside Reading Lists- we would use these as bedtime read alouds. Here you go. :)
SnMomof7
This is awesome - Linguistic Development Through Poetry Memorization I might try this with your oldest - First Language Lessons 3- teacher guide only Do you have the books for these? If so it would be nice for read aloud time, if not just use books you have on hand so you don't have to worry about spending more $$ - FIAR vol. 1, Beyond FIAR You could gently try your youngest with vol 1? - First Language Lessons vol. 1&2 I would ONLY use the HWT stuff if you wanted to use that style of writing - otherwise get a cheap workbook for the style you prefer. thefragile7393
FIAR can be good but your kids may be beyond that. Maybe beyond FIAR? Language Lessons is really good too but again vols one and two may be too easy for them.
