Megicce
My dd has been learning lots of letter sounds, but whenever we sit down to try to work on it purposefully, I get a lot of push-back from her. She likes it when it feels like a game, but not when it feels like I'm trying to teach her something! Ha! We're going to do MFW K in the fall, but she has already learned many of the sounds, so I think I'll be able to supplement with something, and I'd love to hear your best suggestions for a basic phonics program that feels like fun and not like work! Thanks! Edited April 4, 2012 by Megicce typo!
adventumacademy
While not a full curriculum, my D enjoys Happy Phonics. We use it more for extra practice and reinforcement of lessons learned. They are simple games, but my dd enjoys them.
my2boysteacher
If you have an IPad you could get 'Montessori crosswords'. My dd4 loves it, and is learning a lot about letter sounds.

SweetandSimple
Reading Eggs has been a big hit here, and it's working better than other things we've tried, too!
LittleIzumi
more.starfall.com and Happy Phonics, plus maybe Peggy Kaye's Games for Reading book! Also the Leapfrog videos.
alisoncooks
My son liked the activities at the Florida Center for Reading Research. Click on all the links that say "Part One," "Part Two," etc. for tons of free, pdf, print-and-go activities.http://www.fcrr.org/curriculum/studentCenterActivities.shtm Wow, that's a great site! Thanks for sharing! :)
