brownie
I'm getting each of the kids a fictional Christian book for Easter. I have a Max Lucado for ds6 and a Max and Lizzie book for ds9. Any suggestions for the 11 year old boy? He's a strong reader. Technically it wouldn't have to be fiction since he loves history and other non-fiction, but I want it to be something you'd find at the Christian book store, and not likely at the library. It's hard to get away long enough to dig through the bookstore when the kids are home all week! Thanks! Brownie
Chris in VA
Sugar Creek Gang?
Rebecca
I agree- Sugar Creek Gang! or Castleberry Farm Mystery series or The Kingdom Series books by Chuck Black (or knights of arethtrae)- these depend on how "preview" intense your family is. My husband read these to our sons first. The Raiders of the Sea (and series) Lois Johnson If the bookstore carries lamplighters- we enjoy gifting these to our sons, too. Birkenkathy
The Cooper Kids mysteries are good. They are written by a mainstream Christian author, but his name is escaping me at the moment. My dd got them for Christmas and loves them. I think it is a brother and sister so it should be appropriate for a boy as well.
mom2abcd
There's such a range of reading abilities at that age. Ds loved Sigmund Brouwer books and he has several series. Here is one: http://www.sigmundbrouwer.com/kids/mars_diaries.htm
