Sherry in OH
What language arts would you add for a first grade student who will be using - ETC 7 and 8 (possibly just 8, we are 2/3 of the way through 5 now) WWE 1 (we will probably be half-way through this at the start of 1st grade) HWOT, printing power Reading books of choice (currently Magic Tree House - I'd welcome suggestions here too) I looked at FLL but think level 1 would bore him. He has picked up basic grammar from concept books such as A Mink, a Fink, a Skating Rink and Punctuation Station.

Sherry in OH
We did MCT lightly in 1st grade with my daughter and really enjoyed it. Thanks. I looked at the samples. He might like this program. How writing intensive is it?

Mommy22alyns
FLL might be doable if you compress it. It does move very slowly, so we often did 2-3 lessons a day and finished 1 and 2 in one (school) year.
