m0mmaBuck
DS10 does CLE Math 400 and is a bit jealous of DD's "fun" workbook. (She does CLE Math 100 but also has a AO LifePac K2 book that she does for fun after she finishes her CLE lesson.) So.... What would be a "fun" workbook we could use either as extra math or on Fridays after he does his short quiz or test?
SunnyDays
How about a Singapore CWP (Word Problems) book? :D (What, word problems aren't everyone's idea of a good time??) Or you could use the online interactive worksheets from MEP, some of those are pretty fun. The 3rd grade pages are here: http://www.cimt.plymouth.ac.uk/projects/mepres/primary/y3int/default.htm
m0mmaBuck
Oh heavens no!!!! Word problems are NOT his idea of fun. He would hate me! He loves geometry though.... Maybe I could find something that focused there.
SunnyDays
Hmm... I'm not sure about geometry, hopefully someone else has a good idea. Although, maybe you could try something along the lines of logic or analogies? Not specifically math, but he might enjoy them. Do check the MEP site, a lot of them are puzzle type problems... Spetzi
It is word based, but we love Challenge Math by Edward Zaccaro. There is a lot of text before the exercises. Your library might have it and you could try it. It's a big hit here!
Jilly
Maybe this geometry workbook? I haven't used this one, but my son has used others from the series and liked them.
