momto2Cs
I am sure some of you remember me posting before about my late/struggling reader, dd8. Well, yesterday we were working through a few pages in Explode the Code, and The Reading Lesson, when she turned and asked me if she could write a story. Of course I let her. It is quite short, and spelled very phonetically (like "hoc" for "hawk"), but this is the very first time she has ever wanted to do anything like this, and she wrote a story on her own! She even remembered a couple of sight words! Tangible progress that gives me so much hope!
