Beth S
The Walmart khaki pants (thankfully) have that button-hole elastic hidden in the waist. However, Walmart has mostly husky and baggy jeans styles. It's a great day when the boy graduates to the smallest adult male sized jeans. We try for hand-me-downs from older skinny kids! Pretty in Pink
GAP and The Children's Place carry slim up to size 16. I found some at Target recently, too. I think they were Wranglers.
Lawana
Wrangler brand has an extremely slim slim.
MamaT
Old Navy boy's pants and shorts with the button-cinch thing in the waist has worked for my skinny boys.
zaichiki
That's ds right now. 14 is too short (and still too wide unless it has the waist cincher thing). 16 is the right length, but even the slims are too wide. We have found Arizona jeans and other types have the elastic/button cincher at the waist, but ds doesn't like the feeling of all that extra elastic bunching up against his skin. He's just overall unhappy with pants right now. :(
Jennifer in MI
Have you checked out mens' clothes? We've been able to find 27" waist for my thin 14 yo there. The good news for my family is that between 14 and 15, my kids care a LOT about appearances! They are working out and gaining weight and can fit into some more "normal" sizes now!!! prairiewindmomma
Lands End shorts--slims--with the adjustable waistband!!! Old Navy and Gap are the other brands that fit him, but the Lands End waistband is much more comfortable.

laughing lioness
levi's slim boot cut. Boots were a must for a couple of years because we couldn't find pants long enough to stay on my super skinny boy.
Brindee
We had that problem with all 3 of mine. Actually, we still do. 27 does okay with ds 20, who is 5'10", but we've been having a very hard time finding 27's! We finally found some on a good sale at Aeropostale, who have clothes for thin people. We wait for their big sales then go in and get clothes for the kids, since they're more likely to fit into them. DS18 can't find small enough around the waist with long legs (he's 6'2"). He finally gave up awhile back on finding pants that fit around the waist and has gone to a more "pants on the ground" look. :glare: It was more out of necessity than anything, but now he's used to that and doesn't want to go back! Thankfully it's not as low as some!!! When the boys were little, Walmart had a section of slim jeans, but that's been gone for awhile now. Wrangler is one we found that they could usually find slim fits. DD, who's almost 15:001_huh:, has found she can fit into a size 0 or 1 pants now, though they're a bit large. Both dh and I were very thin when we were young. DH still is, but I don't seem to have that "problem" anymore! :tongue_smilie:
