Homemade Butterfinger recipe - AMAZING!!! only 3 ingredients!

Recommended Posts

I saw this on pinterest awhile back and finally made them yesterday. Oh. my. word.

These would make a great Valentine treat!! Enjoy!!

Homemade Butterfingers

1 lb candy corn

16 oz peanut butter (I used Peter Pan honey roasted peanut butter)

chocolate-flavored almond bark

(That's it! Seriously! The texture isn't quite like a butterfinger, but the taste is!

Line an 8 x 8 pan with parchment paper. Melt candy corn in the microwave on high for one minute. Stir. Continue heating in 15 - 20 second intervals and stirring until completely melted. Stir in peanut butter. N.B. It starts setting up quickly, so I threw it back into the microwave for about 20 more seconds after I had stirred the two ingredients together a bit). Spread into pan. Cool and place in fridge for a couple of hours. Turn out and cut into squares. It's pretty rich, so don't make them too big. Mine were also kind of crumbly when I was cutting (a bit frustrating), so next time I am hoping making them smaller will help with this. Dip in melted almond bark and set on wax paper to set up.
