busymama7
My six year old has started today with a hacky cough but no fever. She is otherwise fine. Running around eating etc. Would you keep them home from church/co-op etc? She does not seem sick at all but when she coughs every once in a while it doesn't sound great. Mommyof4ks
I would stay away from people with babies. When my youngest had RSV at age 4 he had no symptoms other than a cough and runny nose. He was going through treatment for cancer at the time, so he had to be checked out in case it was bacterial, otherwise we never would have thought it was RSV. If she is allergic to cedar, then that might be it, but I would be sure given how bad RSV is for babies and the time of year.

Lang Syne Boardie
My son had strep throat with no fever and no sore throat. Mine, too. Last week.
HiddenJewel
If a cough sounds bad at our house, we stay in even with no other symptoms. The body is fighting something for it to sound cruddy. I don't want to expose others nor do I want to expose my child to other germs while his immune system is lowered.
PeacefulChaos
I wouldn't for just a cough. DS6 has a cough and a slight runny nose but he's going to church tomorrow (and a birthday party), but that isn't all that rare for him with his allergies. So I guess that probably colors my thinking a bit...
busymama7
So how did they get diagnosed with strep? I mean with NO symptoms why were they at the Drs? Did others have it and so they were tested? Thanks for the thoughts.:001_smile: I'm going to see how she is in the morning.
