On the other hand this will let them bring in more students who are closer to college apps and to better tailor the program to their abilities and questions. Just a reminder that the window for applying to the STEM camp at USNA will close next week. Even if your kid isn't selected (and the competition for slots is tight), I've found that it was a worthy exercise for my kids to sit down and have to write up what their activities and leadership experience was and why they were interested in the program. It was also a nice reminder to go through their scores from the last couple of years and see that I'm not completely messing them up.
