ATT Go phone plan

Recommended Posts

I use one - I've had it for over 4 years now.

I've had no problems with reception. I pay $25 every 3 months because that way I can carry over any minutes that I may have leftover. I don't believe you can do that with if you pay for the $15 plan. $25 every 3 months is just right for me since I only use the phone if I really need it.

This is what I do too.

I am on an older plan that is no longer offered so ymmv. Last july I purchased $100 and still have a balance remaining like $13 or so. I don't use my phone often but there have been days where I was grateful I had it, like when I ended up taking my MIL to appt then to the ER and spending the night at a hospital. I had to call her kids, arrange my childcare ect. It was a blessing.

If you purchase $100 you minutes are good for a year. You can always call and add minutes if you are out and about, I never by the cards, just call in my order.

Reception is as good as ATT. Where I live ATT recpetion is terrible, in town it works great. We traveled cross country and it usually worked.

  • 6 months later...

Resurrecting this thread because I am getting one of these for my mom.

Questions:

I thought that you just had to buy new minutes before your old ones expired. So, you have to get $25 every 3 months? Or $100/year?

Can anyone point me to the link with the rules on this?

Thank you.

Dawn

this should give you the info on it. I only see a 25 dollar card for sale, not a 15. 10c a minute. You should look at platinumtel. They are 5c a min., 2c a text, 10c per mg of data for their prepaid, and they have $10 cards that are good for 90 days. Basically you can get 800 min for $40 and a year of service. Best deal out there period. They use the sprint network. Right now my phone is tmobile where I can get 1000 min for 100 dollars and a year of service, but I just got my husband a platinum tel. It works great, and I'm switching when my minutes expire. I can get an android phone with the prepaid plan as well if I want to.

THANK YOU!

I will look. They use Sprint AND you can use the Sprint phone you already have! I am going to test this out and activate a Sprint phone I haven't used for a while and see if I can get it to work.

It says you can even use your iphone if it is Sprint based.
