kandty
I think we are going to learn and do some Yoga for PE in January and February. Our library didn't have much of anything, besides that they have a free yoga class once a week. Anyone have any recommendations on resources to help me out. I have zero experience in this! DVDs, books, or websites. Need lot of pictures!

Chelli
We checked this book: http://www.amazon.com/I-Love-Yoga-Kids/dp/0756614007/ref=sr_1_11?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1325458402&sr=1-11 out of the library to start with. The kids would pick some poses and try them. But what really got Yoga going for us was putting in yoga sequences on our Wii Fit Plus. That's what we do now. mohini
I'm a Yoga teacher and I specialize in teaching kids. This http://www.amazon.com/Yoga-Children-Complete-Illustrated-Guide/dp/8186112227/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1325464707&sr=8-4 is easily the best book I've seen but keep in mind it is written by Indians for Indians and is really serious. That said, it includes a traditional (Indian) story for each posture and has short sections on anatomy and physiology and on the philosophy of yoga for kids. It also has great pictures of real kids doing AMAZING things. However, If you aren't interested in the cultural aspect, it may not be the book for you. Hope you have fun yogaing:001_smile:
jenbrdsly
We love Yoga Pretzels. Your library might have the book version, which is called "My Daddy is a Pretzel".
