Oak Knoll Mom
I'm getting a Roomba (yay!) and I need to decide between the 530 and 532. We have all hardwood floors on the main level where it will be used the most. We do have two cats, but one is almost exclusively outdoors and the indoor cat is tiny (7 1/2 lbs of fluff). The hardwood makes it easy to pick up fur balls when we see them. Our house isn't characterized by lots of cat fur. So, is it worth the extra cost to get the pet series? (And can I say that I am thrilled to be getting a Roomba? A friend has one and seeing hers in action has convinced me that it will be a great addition to our home!) QuirkyKapers
I would get the pet series. Actually, when I looked at the difference in prices the one not for pets is actually a little more expensive right now.
Julie Smith
A automatic robot vacuum cleaner was the ONLY present my 4 1/2 year old nephew wanted for Christmas. He at first wanted a robot that would clean his room. But since they don't have those he found out about a automatic vacuum cleaner and wanted it. SonshineLearner
The one for pets is what I'd want :) Gosh... makes me want one. I have a dog and 2 cats that shed... I swear that half my cleaning time is vacuuming along the edges of all are rooms... about 1200 square feet just for downstairs...
Oak Knoll Mom
I would get the pet series. Actually, when I looked at the difference in prices the one not for pets is actually a little more expensive right now. I'm getting it from Bed, Bath, and Beyond with a 20% off coupon. It will be $240 for the non-pet model and $280 for the pet model.
Remudamom
Sorry, can't help asking this question. What if your roomba finds some cat poop on the floor? I'm guessing it would try to clean it up? Sorry, I really am, but it's all I can think about when I consider a roomba.

The only thing to me worse than a surprise would be a surprise with a roomba in the middle of it.
AK_Mom4
As the owner of the regular roomba, I definitely think it would be worth it to get the Pet model so you get the bigger bin.
